What time is it?

The power went out today. I was in the middle of an (im) conversation with Knitting Mama when it went off. I hate it when the power goes off. I have to reset all of the clocks (except three!). I can’t see any clocks from the kitchen so I’m never quite sure if the time is correct. Tom told me what time he has, but I haven’t a clue if that’s right or not. *sigh* I wish all my clocks had atomic time resetting. It would make life much easier.

I did some knitting today. Yippee!! I had problems. I dropped a stitch (I think) and I pulled it all out. I had to figure out how to do a slip knot (which I did and think I will now know how to do from now on) and after a bunch of tries I managed to cast on and knit a row. On my new needles. I don’t know if I like them as much. The yarn doesn’t slip off of them as much (at all) but then again the yarn doesn’t easily slip off of them. LOL. But I have a ton of yarn (okay, so maybe not a ton, but a bunch) to go through since I ripped it all out. So I’ll be working on it for the foreseeable future. But if I manage to do it well, I’ll be happy. I’m still practicing. Knitting Mama signed me up on a site and I need to get the password so I can use it. She’s also the one who gave me the links that got me started on knitting again. Although I now know that the Steel City Knitter has helpful links on her blog. The things you learn too late. LOL.

Tom’s gone

He was home for a whole week and a half.  It was wonderful, although I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to get done.  He does all this romantic stuff for me – completely cleaned my car, gassed it up and gave me money for dinner as a surprise; put a special playlist on my iPod; make me dinner; and pamper me (haircut, nails, pedicure and dinner at his fave restaurant in Columbus).   He didn’t get mad at me, even though I got a speeding ticket.  He just said he was honored that I would hurry to get him.  I did some romantic stuff for him, too.  I did a romantic dinner for him complete with card and flowers.  I got him a surprise lesson that he loved. (Can’t tell you what it is – its a secret)  The biggest thing is that he is now officially divorced.  Yippee!!!  I also got him to a doctor which was desperately needed. As well as a lot of sleep.  He’d get up and exercise with me and tell me how proud he was that I was doing something to get back into shape.  I miss him so much.  He’s such a wonderful guy.
